Product Description: Vetiveria zizanoides, also known as vetiver, is a perennial grass native to India. It is widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions for its aromatic roots, which are used in perfumes, cosmetics, and traditional medicine. Vetiver grows up to 1.5 meters tall, with long, narrow leaves and tall stems that produce tightly packed spikes of flowers. The roots of the plant are thick, fibrous, and deeply anchored in the soil, making vetiver an excellent plant for erosion control on steep slopes and riverbanks. Vetiver is also known for its ability to tolerate drought and waterlogging, making it a valuable plant for soil conservation and remediation. The essential oil extracted from the roots of vetiver is used in aromatherapy to promote relaxation and reduce stress.
Note: This oil can be very thick. If so, we would recommend placing the bottle in a very hot water bath, and changing the water frequently until it is back to its liquid state, then gently agitating it before use.
